The WhereTag IV enables location solutions, providing a fully integrated, “state-of-the-art” Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solution. The device complies with the ISO/IEC 24730-2 RTLS standard for asset tags and Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX). It can be programmed to transmit in both or either mode; operation can be optimized to meet the location requirements of the application.
ISO/IEC 24730-2 mode provides high location accuracy for industrial and outdoor applications, while CCX mode is often used in the “front line department.” Zebra ISO/IEC 24730-2 RTLS solutions utilize Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) to achieve the highest possible accuracy in harsh environments. In many applications, accuracy is guaranteed within a 2-meter range, optimizing business applications. Cisco’s Unified Wireless Network minimizes installation cost and complexity with CCX and a single wireless infrastructure. The WhereTag IV tracks assets, people and WIP transactions across the enterprise using either technology.
