Location Solutions offers the WhereWand II RTLS Configuration Tool. The WhereWand II Configuration Tool uses a handheld computer and adapter kit to enable users to configure all WhereTag asset tags, WhereCall sensor messaging tags, WherePort spacing exciters, and WhereLAN location sensors. The WhereWand II Configuration Tool complies with the ISO/IEC 24730-2 air interface standard.
A simple user interface guides the operator through reading or setting device parameters. A built-in barcode scanner allows for quick entry of tag IDs. Wireless communication between the WhereWand II and WhereTag is initiated by the tag ID, whether in a standalone or non-standalone environment. The WhereWand II uses the ISO/IEC 24730-2 compliant wireless interface to set or read back programmable parameters stored in the WhereTag. These parameters are used for purposes such as keep-alive flash frequency, alternating flash frequency and duration, and responding to the magnetic field of the WherePort exciter.
